💡 Why TinyLaunch existed in the first place

When I started building TinyLaunch, it was just that — a tiny experiment. I wanted to learn as I built, and I liked the idea of helping early-stage, non-technical founders (especially women, creatives, and underrepresented folks) to stop getting stuck at “idea stage” and start building with confidence.

My prototype was pretty simple:

  • Answer a few questions
  • Get a tiny, tailored startup plan
  • Feel like you actually know what to do next

The early feedback was encouraging. People liked how fast, warm, and beginner-friendly it felt. But the name started to feel off - TinyLaunch was always meant to celebrate starting small, but “tiny” also risks underselling the ambition behind it. It felt diminutive - the people using this tool don’t have tiny dreams.

I also felt the product outgrew it. It started to become more than a fun prototype to something that might actually have potential it felt important to give the name some proper thought.

I wanted a name that reflected growth, curiosity, and the quiet power of momentum. Something rooted in possibility rather than minimalism.

🌱 Say hello to Launchling

A Launchling is a tiny seed with potential. A beginning, not a blueprint.

It’s not about blitzscaling or pitching VCs. It’s about taking that first confident step — and building at your pace, on your terms.

The rebrand comes with:

  • A new name and logo (inspired by a samara seed in flight 🌱)
  • A fully working flow — idea to personalised plan, start to finish
  • A clearer mission: to help more people actually start

🧭 Who Launchling is for?

Launchling is for the curious, the scrappy, the ones who don’t ‘speak startup’ yet but have ideas worth exploring, especially:

  • Non-technical solo founders
  • Women, creatives, underrepresented builders
  • People who’ve said: “I have this idea, but I don’t know where to start.”

📣 What’s next

I’m having quite a lot of fun with this, and I’m really just getting started. Launchling is still free. Still lightweight. Still a work in progress. But the goal is clear:

💡

Make early-stage building less overwhelming — and more human.

Soon, we’ll be:

  • Launching our starter bundle (tools, risks, research cheatsheets)
  • Adding better ways to track, update, and share your plan
  • Opening up new features for validation, confidence, and growth
